Assessment centres: what to expect
- Virtual and function-specific (e.g. Buying, Supply Chain, etc.)
- Small group format (max 12 candidates)
- Activities include group discussions, practical exercises, and a competency-based interview
- No need to prepare content in advance – all materials provided on the day
- Ensure a quiet space with strong internet connection
Interviews: what to expect
- Starts with a CV review
- Competency-based questions such as: “Tell us about a time you worked as part of a team” or “Give us an example of a mistake you made”
- Use the STAR method to structure your answers:
- Situation – Set the context
- Task – Describe your responsibility
- Action – Explain what you did
- Result – Share the outcome and what you learned
Top tips for success
- Be yourself — focus on your strengths
- Participate fully — we assess what we see
- Stay calm — one activity doesn’t define the outcome
- Review the competencies we assess and prepare examples
- Use a laptop or PC for better visibility and check your tech
- Ask questions if you’re unsure
- Show genuine interest in the role and industry
- Prepare your space — use a virtual background if needed
